The Rio Embudo means river funnel in spanish. It is fitting for this whitewater gem of a river tucked away in a quiet new mexico town.

Reed Creek is a Serious River at normal flows. Add a lot of muddy water and you have the makings of an epic. An experienced guide is required to avoid floating into caves and sieves. We had a couple swims, and some cave action on this day. We had no idea what we were in for when we put on, it is a day I will never forget.
