It was Tallulah Season once again, which for a class 5 kayaker based out of Atlanta is the equivalent of a kid having Disney world in his backyard. Needless to say, Tallulah was the place to be.

After a long day of quality kayaking you had the Tallulah campfires to look forward to. There were always tales of misadventures on different steep creeks in the southeast being told around the campfires. One in particular caught my attention, a possible first decent of the massive (100+ ft) Big Panther Creek Falls. The story that I heard sparked my interest and my sights were set on Big Panther Creek.

So one fall day on our way to overflow creek, we stopped at big panther to check the level…It was ON.
